 And the award goes to… a brand-new BridgeVMS release! 

Cue the dramatic music, roll out the red carpet, and get ready for the latest updates. While this BridgeVMS release might not come with a standing ovation (yet), it’s packed with some stellar supporting performances that make the whole system shine. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at this award-worthy lineup:

What’s new with BridgeVMS?

Best Feature in a Leading Role: Duplicate Candidate Detection:  The spotlight is now on a new unique ID field for all candidate profiles, making it easier to detect duplicate submissions. If the same candidate is submitted by multiple suppliers, you’ll now see it flagged clearly—no more mistaken identity mix-ups!

Best Adapted Workflow:  We’ve introduced an extra step in the workflow rules for MSP users who need a little extra time before confirming candidates. Now, MSP users can “book” candidates before making the final “book & confirm” call. It's like a director calling for one more take - just to get it right.

Best Script Revision: Documents as a Vocab Item:  You now have more control over your system’s terminology! The word "Documents" is now a configurable vocab item, meaning you can rename it to whatever suits your needs. Because sometimes, a little creative rewrite makes all the difference.

Best Supporting Data: Number of Weeks in Job/Order View: No more counting on your fingers—assignment jobs/orders now display the number of weeks directly in the job view, making it easier to see assignment lengths at a glance.

Best Production Design: Timesheet UI Improvements: Now featuring location address details in the timesheet grid, including name, city, and state/region. Plus, your field selections are saved, so you don’t have to reset them every time - because great design is all about making life easier!

Best Editing: Candidate Submission Sorting: Sorting just got smoother! You can now arrange candidates A-Z by name, agency, or submission date in the candidate submissions tab. A small change, but an award-winning performance in efficiency!

Best Visual Effects: PowerBI in Full Screen: For those using PowerBI integration, you can now toggle dashboards to full screen mode. More data, less distraction - now that’s a blockbuster upgrade!

Bug Fixes & Optimisations: The Unsung Heroes

Every great production has an incredible behind-the-scenes crew. Here are some fixes and optimizations that deserve their own standing ovation:

• Commission Calculations – “Calculate commission on standard pay” now correctly interprets "not set" as "No" instead of "Yes." Whoops, plot twist!
• Invoice Addresses – Some addresses weren’t showing up correctly. We’ve fixed that - no mailman mix-ups here!
• MFA Issues – Some users had trouble logging in with MFA. Security was a little too good at its job. We’ve straightened it out.
• Placement Extensions & Last Working Date – Overnight shifts were causing issues with placement extensions and the final working day of the original placement disappearing from the timesheet.  We’ve patched it up - no more disappearing acts!
• Auto Break Deduction Rules – A broken break rule? Ironic, but fixed. Now you can successfully add break deduction rules to newly created categories.
